	New Mexico alone has been responsible for over 40% of total Uranium mined in the USA. The New Mexico Bureau of Mines estimates that the State still has many millions of pounds of Uranium yet to be mined. The US Dep't of the Interior notes that Tertiary alkaline complexes in New Mexico contain significant resources of Rare Earth minerals in the Lincoln County porphyry belt. The New Mexico Bureau of Mines notes that the rocks of the Lemitar Mtns are enriched in Rare Earth minerals, barite and fluorite.
